Alana has expertise in protecting assets and personal wealth across generations, especially when involving property and agricultural assets. From a dairy farming background herself, she is well suited to advise on all farm property matters and provide advice to farming families on the complexities of succession planning and estate planning. She works with her clients to create personalised plans to prepare for the next generation and implement what ownership and structure looks like for their family. With her expertise in relationship property and trust law, she aims to provide the best advice to protect family assets across generations with satisfactory results for all involved.


Tony Sweetman, Director, Sweetman Law
Tony started his career in Te Awamutu and after 40 years is still passionate about his work. Tony has practiced on the North Shore for over 30 years working as a partner in the well-respected Takapuna firm Coupe Davidson Sweetman followed by McVeagh Fleming. Tony went on to form Sweetman Law Limited in 2011 founded on the philosophy of providing quality and affordable legal advice. Tony’s strength is identifying clients’ legal issues and addressing these promptly and efficiently. He is acutely aware of the pressures facing his clients. Jessie Rose, Senior Associate, Private Wealth, Dentons
Jessie is a Senior Associate in the Private Wealth team. She specialises in advising high net worth clients with their wealth and succession planning, including personal asset structuring, trust and tax advice. Her clients include individuals, families and trustees and she works closely with other intermediaries like accountants, family office personnel, investment advisers and foreign lawyers to ensure complex cross border matters are appropriately dealt with. Jessie is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) experienced with both domestic and international structures after her time practicing in New Zealand and London. She enjoys assisting clients with all manner of complicated family affairs, taking a global and pragmatic view of their issues to ensure solutions are simple and cohesive.
