Kate Telford, Partner, Hesketh Henry Kate is a partner in Hesketh Henry’s Corporate and Commercial Team. She advises clients on a wide range of commercial transactions and agreements across a variety of different industry sectors, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and corporate governance advice. Kate regularly advises clients on business acquisitions, disposals, and investment transactions, bringing clarity and a common-sense approach to high value commercial decisions. In addition, Kate has extensive experience advising clients on complex and high value commercial agreements, such as joint venture and shareholder agreements, limited partnership agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, warehousing and logistics agreements, and licensing agreements. She also supports clients with corporate governance advice, including compliance with key legislation such as the Companies Act, Co-operative Companies Act, Fair Trading Act, Consumer Guarantees Act, Takeovers Code, Financial Markets Conduct Act and Overseas Investment Act. She is a director of Project Employ Limited, a charitable organisation helping young people with disabilities gain meaningful employment and provides ongoing pro bono legal support to that initiative.

Alex specialises in litigation and dispute resolution with a focus on complex, commercial disputes. He combines a pragmatic approach with strong technical and strategic analysis. Alex is an expert at resolving complex contractual interpretation and breach of contract claims. He also has experience in matters involving fraudulent or misleading behaviour both within and between organisations. He has acted for financial institutions, professional services firms, and not-for-profit organisations in internal and external investigations and contentious regulatory matters. As a general commercial litigator, Alex represents clients from a wide range of sectors. He has extensive experience of acting for clients in the banking and financial services sector.

Jessica Bremner, Senior Associate, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts
Jess is an experienced corporate lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions, minority and growth capital investments, joint ventures, carve-outs, private equity, corporate restructuring projects and corporate advisory. Jess has worked on a broad range of M&A transactions across a variety of sectors. Her clients range from individuals and founder operator businesses to private equity firms and large corporates both in New Zealand and overseas. She has extensive expertise across the full life cycle of a transaction and her ability to anticipate challenges, provide actionable solutions and work collaboratively means she quickly develops close working relationships with clients to facilitate successful deals. Prior to returning to MinterEllisonRuddWatts, Jess worked in the corporate private equity and financial sponsors team at 'Magic Circle' law firm Linklaters in London where she advised on a number of high-profile, multi-national transactions, predominantly in the digital infrastructure and tech sectors.
