Alan Webb KC is one of New Zealand’s leading public, environmental and resource management barristers, with more than 35 years’ experience advising and appearing on complex planning, regulatory and public law matters throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Appointed King’s Counsel in 2025, Alan is recognised for his outstanding contribution to the law and his long-standing leadership in the field of resource management and environmental law. Practising from Quay Chambers, Alan specialises in resource management, environmental law, judicial review, local government, climate-related regulation, property disputes, infrastructure projects and public law litigation. He regularly appears before the Environment Court, appellate courts, local authority hearings, select committees and specialist tribunals, and is particularly sought after for legally complex, high-profile and large-scale disputes. Alan has extensive experience with major infrastructure and fast-track consenting projects, acting both as adviser and decision-maker. Kitt Littlejohn is one of New Zealand’s most experienced environmental and resource management lawyers, with more than 25 years’ experience advising on complex planning, infrastructure, public law and regulatory matters.
