Charlotte Muggeridge, Partner, Harkness Henry
Charlotte has a specialised skill range across resource management, property development, easements, subdivisions, local government and unit titles. Before joining Harkness Henry, she worked in local government and in private practice. Charlotte has presented seminars for the New Zealand Law Society, Survey & Spatial New Zealand, the Waikato Plan, and Auckland District Law Society on property law, subdivisions, and resource management law. Charlotte has detailed knowledge of the proposed new resource management legalisation, the Natural and Built Environments Act. Charlotte sits on the Waikato Conservation Board, the Waikato Plan Leadership Committee, and the Waikato Housing initiative. Charlotte also has a passion for community governance and is a board member of the international World YWCA Board based in Geneva. Charlotte was awarded the Property Council Central Region Judge’s Choice award in 2022 for her contribution to the industry.


Ben Eagleson, Senior Associate, Alexander Dorrington Lawyers
Ben is an expert in property law, practising law since 2007.  He started his career as a litigator, then gained extensive experience in the corporate, commercial and property space in a mid sized NZ firm, mostly focused on unit title work.  He has also spent 8 years practising law in the Cayman Islands focused on the development of hotels, residential and commercial property.


James Mowat, Kaiārahi/Leader – Sector Engagement, Land Information New Zealand (LINZ)
James is the Engagement Lead at LINZ, responsible for the major Landonline and property system external engagements including the programme to modernise Landonline. James is a land administration professional long involved in electronic land registration and associated services. During 2013 to 2015 James led the business case approval processes to future-proof the delivery of New Zealand's Land Title and Cadastral Survey system. Whilst a land lawyer by training he takes an interest in all aspects of the property system, including cadastral, property data, and council land development processes.


Chris Harker, Partner, Mayne Wetherell
Chris advises on tax law. He has advised on a number of significant transactions including mergers and acquisitions, restructures, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), and financing arrangements. He has also acted for clients seeking binding rulings from Inland Revenue in respect of prospective transactions, and represented clients in respect of Inland Revenue investigations and disputes.


Tina Hwang, Director, Queen City Law
Tina Hwang is a Director and is the Leader of QCL’s large and award winning Property Team. Tina is also Co-Convenor of The Law Association (previously ADLS) Property Law Committee and member of The Law Association Property Disputes Committee. Tina mainly practises in property, construction and litigation. She has deep and wide experience in virtually all aspects of property law and property development and has been involved in some of New Zealand’s largest property projects. Tina has also developed expertise in construction issues and has presented papers at many New Zealand law seminars on property and construction law. She contributes regularly to the Builders & Contractors Magazine. Tina also speaks fluent Korean. Being client-centric Tina has also taken on numerous employment cases (both employer and employee) and the consequent mediation and settlements. Tina regularly appears in Tribunals and Courts.
