Hamish Bolland, Partner, Chapman Tripp
Hamish has experience across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, energy (including renewable), water, health, ports, oil and gas, tourism, commercial and residential. He advises on national and international large-scale construction projects. Hamish acts for a range of clients including government entities and council, sponsors, developers, contractors, subcontractors, service providers and lenders. He advises on all stages of a project including procurement strategy, tendering and probity, contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution. A significant amount of his experience involves project finance transactions. Previously, Hamish worked for UK magic circle law firm Allen & Overy in their Dubai projects team acting for sponsors undertaking major projects in the Gulf region, as well as financial institutions lending to those projects. He advises on a wide range of project procurement models including early contractor involvement and pre-construction services, build-only, design-build, full EPC/turnkey, DBO, BOOT, design, build, operate and maintain and concession arrangements. Hamish is recognised as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2020 and an Up and Coming lawyer in Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2020.


Denise Marsden, Director, Alexander Dorrington Lawyers

Thomas Gibbons, Director, Thomas Gibbons Law
Thomas is a property law specialist. He began his career with a national law firm, and was Partner/Director of a regional firm before setting up his own practice in 2020. He is the author of Unit Titles Law and Practice (1st ed, 2011, 2nd ed, 2015), and A Practical Guide to the Land Transfer Act (2017), as well as co-author of the Laws of New Zealand titles on Land Law and Easements, Covenants, and Profits. He has lectured in property law at various universities, and in securities law for LLB and MBA programmes. His articles have been published in New Zealand and overseas law journals. Thomas has given expert evidence on land development issues in the High Court, and is currently lead drafter on the ADLS-REINZ Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Real Estate. He is also a trustee of the Waikato Housing Initiative and the Waikato Community Lands Trust.


Ana Coculescu, Senior Associate, Dentons
Ana has specialised in environmental law since 2005, working on infrastructure projects and advising on ESG. She is a Senior Associate in the Dentons Wellington Environment and Planning team, having worked in Sydney for over 10 years before moving to New Zealand. In her practice, she has advised private and government clients on projects including mines, power plants, roads, train lines, waste facilities, water pipelines, windfarms. Ana has also been active in the policy space – given all the changes to the Resource Management Act and the Climate Change Response Act discussed over the past few years in New Zealand.


Chris Whiteley, Director, Facilities Management, Colliers
Chris leads Colliers' Facilities Management team which is comprised of 26 Facilities and Operations Managers  across the country. Chris has over 20 years’ experience in the facilities industry, from being on the tools through to strategy. Chris's background has been across large-scale assets in retail, industrial  and commercial properties, from business parks, to iconic shopping centres.He is actively involved in the full-scale management and operations of properties with a view to maximising the asset value by management of short and long-term strategies that amplify the potential for both the client and the tenants. Chris joined Colliers  in 2022 following 6 years at Oyster Property Group, where he held the role of National Facilities Manager and prior with both Stride and Westfield for the management and opening of shopping centres. He has extensive knowledge and experience in facilities management,  projects and strategic capital planning. Chris enjoys finding solutions to any facilities issues and working with all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for clients and tenants to give the best result for the built environment.
