Penny Henderson

Author: Penny Henderson

Penny Henderson specialises in all areas of law that affect people’s relationships, often in difficult circumstances and with conflicting interests. Although family law can be a challenging area she provides clear and detailed advice regarding the law. In spite of the emotionally charged situations that Penny often advises on, she succeeds because she remains calm, focused, caring and thoughtful. Her goal is to help her clients find solutions rather than to escalate the conflict. She is also well aware that often practical and emotional answers are required rather than simply applying the law. Penny’s negotiation skills often achieve fair results for her clients without the need and expense of Court hearings. Penny leads the Cavell Leitch relationships team which has established itself as one of the best family law teams in New Zealand. Recent Projects include: Assisted in a mult million dollar matrimonial involving farm land; Drafting property relationship agreement for a couple to contract out of the default provisions of the Property (Relationships Act); and Successfully appointed welfare guardian for incapacitated person.
