Chair: Steph Dyhrberg

Steph Dyhrberg is a partner at Dyhrberg Drayton Employment Law, a specialist employment law practice in Wellington. Steph has 26 years legal experience. Prior to joining forces with Johanna, Steph practised as a sole practitioner for 6 years. Steph previously worked for Russell McVeagh Wellington, as a Crown Counsel in the Employment and Education team of The Crown Law Office, and as an employment lawyer for human resources specialists Right Management Consultants (formerly Greene Hanson, and The Empower Group). Steph is a member of the New Zealand Law Society Wellington Branch Council and was a founding author of Brookers District Court Procedure. Steph is a Vice President of the Wellington Branch Council of the New Zealand Law Society and Convenor of the Wellington Women Lawyers' Association. She is a Trustee of Mary Potter Hospice. Steph is a member of the judging panel for the Electra Business Awards (Kapiti-Horowhenua). Steph is recognised as a highly effective senior employment advisor and advocate. She is a skilled conference and workshop presenter, and has developed a specialist expertise in undertaking independent investigations and reviews.

Megan Richards

Megan Richards is a Partner in MinterEllisonRuddWatts. She is a very experienced employment lawyer and has practised law for over 20 years in top tier firms in New Zealand, Australia and London. She advises in all employment related matters including assisting clients to manage and prepare for changes in employment legislation. Megan is on the Editorial Boards of employment publications and is also the co-author of the Laws of New Zealand Employment chapter.

Maria Berryman

Maria Berryman is a Wellington based barrister specialising in Employment Law. Maria works predominantly with Ministries, Crown Entities, Public Service Departments, State Sector Organisations and corporate employers providing employment law advice across all areas. Maria's frequent Investigation work saw her undertake and achieve accreditation from the American based Association of Workplace Investigators. She is now a qualified AWI investigator. Maria is a popular conference presenter and commentator on employment law issues. Maria is a member of the Wellington Employment Law Committee and is on the Board of NZORD.

Nick Logan

Nick is a Senior Solicitor at Quigg Partners. He has been practicing employment law since 2011 and has considerable experience in both contentious and non-contentious areas. Nick recently returned from the United Kingdom where he worked in a multinational employment law team and assisted clients both in the UK and internationally. Nick advises a wide array of clients from small businesses to multinational entities and public sector organisations. He has a particular interest in the employment law aspects of the sale and purchase of businesses, terminations and the start up/tech sector. In health and safety matters, Nick has assisted with policy advice as well as providing fatality response and defending WorkSafe prosecutions. Nick has represented employers in mediations, the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. He has also appeared in the High Court and District Court.
